The Three Lives of Cate Kay | Key Lime Pie

NO, do the opposite of that! – is what I wanted to scream at Annie throughout the entire book. That being said, it is such a compelling story, I loved it! After a life altering event, Annie leaves her hometown behind, changes her name to Cass, and eventually becomes a successful author under the pseudonym, Cate Kay. The twists and turns in this story are unpredictable (and, at times, downright maddening) as Annie learns what it means to fully embrace her past and present.

Whenever either of us showed up holding a fork and a pie box, the other was obliged to say, ‘That better not be some apple bullshit.
— The Three Lives of Cate Kay

The pie in the box is always Key Lime but it doesn’t stop Annie and her bestie, Amanda, from making the joke. I loved the friendship between Annie and Amanda, @katefagan3 does a great job of taking us back to high school with these two. They are full of quips, jokes, hopes and dreams. Personally, I’m partial to a good Apple pie, but I won’t say no to a slice of Key Lime on a summer day.

I made the The Domestic Gothess’ Key Lime Pie recipe.

It comes together so easily with the graham cracker crust and it is delicious! I can see myself bringing this to every bbq this summer.
